Where it all began. Two discs initially released on Important Records and a must for fans of SSM. The first features Paul Lytton on drums and David Grubbs on harmonium, from the first live performance of the SSM series at Abrons Art Center in Manhattan.
The second is from two years later, and replaces Grubbs and Lytton with C. Spencer Yeh on violin and Chris Corsano on drums. A harsher, more bombastic version leading up to the double trio found in SSM III/IV
